two fingers separated

yesterday

ultraviolet was a blast. we saw how crazy asher went during the 'warm-ups'. he'll fit perfectly fine in a club (its a compliment here). cailin was helping to draw crosses on everyone's arm. i didn't know that when the purple light falls on the paint area, it'll illuminate like some ultraviolet 'ray'? all this i found out only after everything ended.

something i picked up over the past few months: learning to worship with your eyes open. playing guitar for cell forces you to worship with your eyes open. you can't possibly close your eyes all the time, and have the worship leader smack you to signal that she's transiting to the next song or that she wants the bridge to the song you're playing now.

i enjoyed the free worship part alot. i was observing the way the musicians were playing and worshipping all at the same time. wow. the female backups had really good vocals. strong and all in one accord.

today

church's praise and worship is definitely not as good as planetshakers, all this in the technical sense. they played oldies, or what i would term, classic hits. eg: reaching for you, we want to see jesus lifted high.

(the following content holds highly SINFUL thoughts about church)

i felt praise and worship was horrible cos the the worship leader was shouting the songs into the mic. that worked really well for prasie. but for worship, it gets really painful. i understand that the worship leader was trying to fill the atmosphere, but what about pitching? one of the songs for worship was 'dont pass me by'. i applaud their efforts for attempting a tricky song, but it sounded quite bad. still, the guitarists were good.

off to something less churchy...

next time you visit long john's and find that your chicken looks pathetically small, try this...

person over the counter: enjoy your meal...
me: ewl, the chickens look like birds! they're tiny.
poc: yup they've shrunk. i'll give you another peice of chicken.

HAHA! and mind you, that person us an extra peice of chicken each. we were staring at our plates wondering, "so what do we now with all that chicken?".

just try it, you might get be lucky like us.
