lips of an angel

back from leadership camp. it's different. different from the ones i've attended back in high school. this one's less comfortable, less expensive, but nevertheless, an atmosphere of exuberance and love.

there's the urgecy to move on. people are motivated and encouraged to take up roles of leadership for god - stepping out of the pit, a comfortable place you've made out for yourself, into the wilderness of leadership.

i've always viewed leadership as prostituting ones' life in exchange for nothing. you give up your rights; rights to reject any church activities. you give up your time; time that could be spent with yourself and friends; time that could be spent having fun. you give you your life; life which is your rights and time.

during altar call, there was THE prompting. i responded, but at the end of it, i questioned if it could be the pseudo environment that has got me responding postively. however, it could really be the Holy Spirit.

my decision was to go with the latter.

(looks to audrey) CART WHEELS DO MAKE YOU FEEL HIGH!!!

everything started with faith wanting to piggy back me, then really piggy back-ing me, and finally off to a series of cart wheels around the basement level of cuppage plaza. honestly, i've never had anyone piggy back me before cos its scary (alright maybe with the exception of my father when i was younger). cheap thrills, but worth the adrenaline rush.

cart wheels are fun to do, but my legs never seem to fall perfectly. the din we created at the basement got so bad the security guy had to come to make us shut up.

ladies, lets go on a cart wheels date after your promos. i'll bring my lomo and we'll do stupid stuff together, AGAIN.

finally a photo entry! the photographs were shot last friday, during an expedition around bukit timah/clementi with the company of roy beans. roy's got really good shots. he's much much better at taking humans than i do. i'll try to post 2 of his photos by next entry.

sunday was great. it has really been a while since we all met up for dinner and beer. enjoyed the late night conversation with hongky/honky (why am i calling you that?), and the little something else...
